Watfa Kinaan

Leads the informal education field at the Achord Center.

From the village of Yarka.

Previously, Ms. Kinaan served as Area Director for the Ne’urim Program, managed the Ne’urim center in Yarka, led groups and training courses for volunteers and coordinators at the Rashi Foundation, delivered continuing education lectures to teachers, and was appointed as a board member of the Council of Women’s Organizations in Israel of Young Na’amat.

Ms. Kinaan holds a master’s degree in alternative education research from the University of Haifa and a bachelor’s degree in education and social studies from Western Galilee College. She is an alumna of a directorship course at Bar-Ilan University, the Mandel Leadership Program, a youth leadership course at Young Na’amat, and a political and public leadership course at the Abraham Foundation Initiatives.

My training has enabled me to connect with more women and explore diverse channels of influence. I've come to understand that as women become increasingly involved in decision-makers' discussions about peace and security, their influence will grow as well.
