In 2018, Dr. Badr was elected as a council member of the Maghar municipality. Since then, she has led the Hadash faction, founded a college for education and vocational training, and trained Arabic-speaking therapists in drama, therapy, and art. She has also directed projects in the Women’s Rights, Health, and Education Division of the Maghar municipality.

Prior to this, Dr. Badr served as the Director of the Maghar Regional College and the Tel-Hai branch, worked as a lecturer and researcher in education at Tel-Hai College, and managed the Manach Association for the Advancement of Education and Art.

Dr. Badr holds a post-doctorate in education from the University of Haifa, where she investigated the impact of motivation and anxiety on students’ academic development and achievements. She also holds a doctorate in education from the University of Haifa, during which she studied risk factors for suicide attempts among the Druze-Arab society in comparison to Muslims, Christians, and Jews. Additionally, she earned a Master’s degree in special education from the University of Latvia and a Bachelor’s degree from the Gordon College of Education in Haifa.

My training has played a significant role in my journey within the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. I have gained valuable insights into the expectations versus reality, primarily through political struggles around the world and their resolution.
