Ms. Yavin holds a master’s degree in political science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a bachelor’s degree in law and political science; currently a graduate student studying gender studies at Tel Aviv University.

Until recently, Ms. Yavin worked as the Supervisor of Gender Equality at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. During her time there, she led the Equal in Leading municipal program in Modi’in, which focused on implementing gender-oriented thinking in the education system by training a change agency consisting of parental leaders and building a community. She also led the CEO’s program for senior management in the Ministry of Agriculture, which aimed to foster an egalitarian environment and implement gender-oriented thinking in policy-making and decision-making processes. Ms. Yavin also spearheaded a steering committee that aimed to encourage the integration of women in agriculture and took part in an inter-ministerial project called Facts from the Field that aimed to expose the professional activities of women in the public service.
