“My training has made me see the importance to be true to myself and my values as a woman, an Arab, and an engineer. I recognize now that my strengths can be particularly valuable in settings where a female voice is lacking, and that my perspective can provide an important angle that may not otherwise be considered. I also realize the importance of bringing women from a variety of fields of expertise into work teams, as everyone has something valuable to contribute.
