Zikhron Ya’akov

Previously, Ms. Abecassis held the position of CEO at the Jerusalem Orchestra East & West, which brings together musicians from various population groups and the three main religions. She also worked as the Deputy Director of the Center Community Division at the Community Culture and Sports Administration of the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality, and established and managed the Enav Cultural Center.

Ms. Abecassis holds a master’s degree in mass communication from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a master’s degree in movement therapy and arts from Lesley College, and a bachelor’s degree in special education from the Kibbutzim College. Additionally, she is an alumna of the Lahav Executive Development Course at Tel Aviv University, in cooperation with the Corporates Bureau, and has completed a seminar on processes of change at Bertelsmann, Stiftung, and Harvard.

For me, as the daughter of a Holocaust survivor, it is important to take responsibility for our country and never be part of a silent majority. My training has reinforced the importance of female initiative as a critical means of achieving sustainable and enduring solutions. I approach my work with great passion and a profound sense of purpose.
