Hadas Hefetz Haroush

Partnerships Coordinator at the Desert Stars NGO, working to develop a new generation of young Bedouin leadership in the Negev desert.

From Hazzerim.

Previously, Ms. Hefetz served as the coordinator of the strategic five-year education plan in East Jerusalem and worked as a correspondent and editor for the al-Masdar website. This platform, run by the Center for Strategic Communication in the Middle East, introduced followers from Arab nations to Israeli culture and society.

Ms. Hefetz holds a master’s degree in conflict management and resolution from Ben Gurion University of the Negev, and a bachelor’s degree in Islam and Middle Eastern studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

My training was an exceptional experience for me, thanks to the meaningful connections I formed with Israeli women from all walks of life and the sense of shared purpose and enriching subjects we explored. The practical tools we received, including face-to-face encounters with diplomats from other nations, were immensely valuable. I continue to appreciate the willingness I gained there to view each conflict from multiple perspectives, aiming to allow as many voices as possible to be heard and considered on the path to providing solutions.
