1325 – Promoting and Implementing a Government Plan of Action to Foster the Resolution – Forum of Jewish and Palestinian Women's Organizations

Itach-Ma’aki works alongside Nabila Espanioly, Director of the Al-Tufula Center in Nazareth, to lead a wide forum of numerous women’s and civil society organizations that promote the principles of Resolution 1325 in Israel. We established the Forum with the understanding that, in a reality marked by violent conflict and occupation, Resolution 1325 should be advanced through a joint effort by Jewish and Palestinian women.

In collaboration with the Forum organizations, we engaged with the Government Committee established in 2021 to develop Action Plan 1325. We submitted plan proposals, presented them to the Committee members, and created a review of the recommendations formulated by the Committee. Additionally, we have initiated an extensive process to develop position papers and letters that focus on the tangible implications of the conflict and occupation on women. These include the position paper on Masafer Yatta, the consequences of home demolitions in the Negev for women, a letter to reduce the proliferation of firearms, the Citizenship Law, feminist field trips, and more.
